Hi! TutorCat is your homework helper. You bring a question from school. TutorCat helps you work it out, one small step at a time.

TutorCat does not just hand you the answer. It shows you the steps first. Once you have had a go, you can unlock the full answer. That way, you really learn it, and next time you can do it on your own.

What you can do

  • Ask a homework question. Type it, snap a photo of the page, or say it out loud.
  • Work through steps. Tap Got it ✓ when a step makes sense. Tap Explain more when it doesn't.
  • Earn the answer. After you work on the steps, you can unlock the full answer.
  • See your progress. Your streak, your level, and the things you have worked out.
  • Check in. Tell TutorCat how you feel today.
  • Explore. Short lessons about jobs and money, with a quick question at the end.

Finding your way around

Compass Coming soon
Settings Your account, your parents, your data

On a phone, the menu sits at the bottom of the screen. It has Home, Learn and Explore. Tap Me to find everything else, including Sign out.

For younger students (grades 3-5)

If you are in grade 3, 4 or 5, TutorCat looks a little different for you. The buttons and words are bigger. You pick a subject from big picture tiles. The tutor can read its replies out loud to you. Look for the "For younger students" notes in this guide. They tell you what is different.
