Read the notes families send from inside the app, newest first.

Feedback shows the notes families chose to send from the feedback button in TutorCat. Before sending, they are told The TutorCat team reads this. It is the only admin screen that shows text a user wrote, and only because they sent it to you.

The Feedback inbox: the list of notes and the selected note
  1. 1: Newest note first
  2. 2: Role and short id
  3. 3: When and which page
  4. 4: The note, as sent
  5. 5: Notes loaded

Read a note

  1. Open Feedback in the sidebar. The newest note opens on the right.
  2. Select a note in the list to read it. With the keyboard, use the up and down arrow keys to move through the list.
  3. The note shows:
    • Who sent it: the role and the first eight characters of the account id, for example Parent · 3f6c1a52. Never a name or a grade.
    • When, and sent from: the page the family was on, for example /learning or /settings.
    • The note itself, as plain text.
  4. The count at the top right says how many notes are loaded. 50+ notes means there are older ones: select Load older at the bottom of the list.

If the sender's account has since been erased, the note stays but the sender shows as erased account.

On a phone, the list fills the screen. Tap a note to read it, and ← Feedback to go back.

Reply and keep track

The inbox has no "resolved" status, tags or internal notes. Keep track in your weekly review instead:

  1. Tag each note yourself as bug, confusing, request or praise.
  2. Bugs get an issue for engineering.
  3. Reply to the parent from beta@tutorcat.ai, within one working day during the beta. To find the address, copy the short id and paste it into Search by email on Users; the search also matches the start of an account id.
  4. Count bugs reported and fixed for the weekly metrics row.
