To use TutorCat, you need an account. Right now TutorCat is in a closed beta. That means you need an invite code to sign up. One code covers your whole family. It is in the email TutorCat sent to your family.

You may want a grown-up nearby while you do this. It only takes a few minutes.

Step 1: Enter your invite code

  1. Open TutorCat and choose to create an account.
  2. Type your code into the Invite code box. It looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. The dashes appear by themselves.
  3. Tap Check code.

Why TutorCat asks for your birthday and country

In many countries, the law says a parent must agree before a young person uses an app like this. The age is different in each country. TutorCat uses your birthday and your country to work out if a parent needs to say yes first.

You can't change your date of birth or country later in the app. If you made a mistake, ask a grown-up to email support@tutorcat.ai.

If something goes wrong

  • "An account with this email already exists." You may already have an account. Tap Sign in instead.
  • A box turns red. Read the small message under it, fix it, then tap Fix and continue →.
  • "Too many tries." Wait a minute, then try again.
  • The code doesn't work. Check each letter and number. If it still fails, ask the grown-up who got the email.

What happens next

After you tap Create account →, TutorCat helps you set up. See "Set up your profile".
