Explore lessons and Compass
Short lessons about careers and money, each with a quick check, plus Compass, which is coming soon.
Explore has short lessons about things beyond homework. There are two tracks:
- Career exploration: what people do at work, and how your subjects connect to jobs.
- Financial literacy: money, saving, spending and budgets.
Each track has modules. A module is a small set of lessons. New modules open up as you move up a grade.
At the top of Explore is the Lesson Library: free whiteboard lessons on school topics. See The Lesson Library.
- 1: Open a module
- 2: Coming soon
Start a module
- Open Explore in the menu.
- Each card shows the module's title, a short summary, how many lessons it has, and how far you've got: "Not started", "2 of 3 done" or "Finished".
- Tap a card to open it.
Read a lesson and do the quick check
- Read the lesson. The top says how many minutes it takes to read.
- On the side, the Quick check asks 1 question. Tap the answer you think is right.
- Tap Check answer.
- Right: you see "✓ Correct" and "That's it."
- Not quite: TutorCat says to take another look at the lesson. There's no penalty. Tap Try again.
- Tap Next lesson: … to keep going. On the last lesson, tap Finish module.
- Tap Back to go to the lesson before, or ← Explore to leave.
- 1: Pick an answer
- 2: Right first time
- 3: On to the next
"Not available for your grade yet"
Some modules are for older students. If a track says "Nothing … is available for your grade yet", that's not about your plan. More modules open as you move up a grade. There's nothing you need to do.
Compass
Compass is coming soon. It will match what you're good at in sessions with real paths after school, like careers, subjects to pick and people to talk to. It isn't open yet.
