About TutorCat

Plans and the beta

Everything is free during the invite-only beta, no card needed, and nothing that protects a child is ever behind a paywall.

The beta is free

TutorCat is in an invite-only beta with a small group of families. While the beta runs:

  • Everything is free. There is nothing to pay and no card to enter.
  • Every account gets the full Family features, such as career exploration and financial literacy lessons.
  • Payments are switched off. If that ever changes, TutorCat will tell you ahead of time, and you will never be charged without agreeing to a price first.
The Plans page during the beta: "Everything is free during the beta", the Free plan, and the Family plan marked "Included during the beta"
  1. 1: Free during the beta
  2. 2: Protection on every plan
  3. 3: Family features included

A parent can see this on the Plans page: open Settings and tap See plans (or Manage plan) under your current plan. A student sees their own plan in Settings → Plan.

The plans

The Free plan is "a complete, useful plan on its own, not a trial."

Free on every plan, always

Some things are never for sale. On every plan, paid or not:

  • consent controls,
  • safety screening, helplines and parent safety alerts,
  • wellbeing check-ins,
  • downloading your data, and
  • deleting your data.

As the Plans page puts it: "Nothing that protects your child is ever behind a paywall."

Invite codes

During the beta you need an invite code to create an account. It arrives in your welcome email from beta@tutorcat.ai, and looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

  • One code covers a whole family. Please do not share it outside your family.
  • If a code is lost, or stops working, reply to your welcome email and we will send a new one.
  • If you do not have a code yet, Join the waitlist on the sign-up screen sends an email to support@tutorcat.ai.

What a beta means

TutorCat is still being built, with your help. Some things will change, some will break, and the tutor will sometimes get an answer wrong. Your feedback shapes what comes next:

  • Parents can tap Feedback in the sidebar at any time.
  • Students can use Settings → Feedback.
  • Or reply to your welcome email.

A real person on the TutorCat team reads every message. Please don't include anything private.
